Τhe Νational Authority of Medically Assisted Reproduction collected the statistical data concerning the extracorporeal cycles for year 2013 out of 41 in a total of 44 Assisted Reproduction Centers in full operation .The data collection was compulsory. Since there is not yet a system of automatic recording of every occurrence to the Authority, the data exhibited are those sent by the IVF Units to the Authority.

According to all the above for the year of 2013 the total amount of clinical pregnancies has reached 32,2%. There were 12207 new cycles. 2395 of those IVF and 9812 ICSI new cycles. The ratio between IVF/ICSI was 1/3. During all these new cycles the amount of clinical pregnancies independently of the method applied was 30%. The same amount in case of freezing was 35% and in cycles with ova donation reached 54%

The vast majority of women undergone IVF was over 35 years old. There is a transfer of 2- 3 embryos in the majority of cycles. For the year of 2013 there were 31 triple pregnancies (0,48% and 408 (6,4%) twin pregnancies. There were 25 cases during which there was a (fatal)  reduction.

There were no serious complications mentioned. There were 38 cases of hyperstimulation syndrome of the οvaries and 13 cases of hemorrhage after the oocyte.

Concerning the insemination cycles for the year 2013, there were 3710 homologous cycles, and 495 with sperm donor. There were 528 pregnancies during homologous cycles with a pregnancy rate 14,2% and 107 pregnancies in case of heterologous insemination with a pregnancy amount of 21,6%. After all insemination cycles there was the case of one triple and 35 double pregnancies observed.
