Operation and service of the Medically Assisted Reproduction Unit and Cryopreservation Bank based in Chania
In view of the ongoing preliminary investigation with regard to the activity of the Medically Assisted Reproduction Unit and Cryopreservation Bank in Chania, the National Authority for Medically Assisted Reproduction communicated with the Gynaecologist Deputy Scientific Manager of the Unit, the Embryologists and the Administrative staff, as well as with the Greek Police, in order to make sure that all the necessary measures are taken for the safety and security of the reproductive genetic material cryopreserved in the Unit, and call on the restart of medical care for all ongoing patients.
Furthermore, the National Authority for Medically Assisted Reproduction is in the process of investigating the operation of the Medically Assisted Reproduction Unit and Cryopreservation Bank in Chania.
